Hike Bike Travel’s 2010 Trips
January 3, 2010
This coming year hikebiketravel is pleased to offer you detailed, downloadable, FREE guides and itineraries in addition to in depth blog reports from the following field locations.
- the Sonoran desert of Arizona beginning in Tucson and heading south towards the Mexico border and back through Tubac to Tucson (bike tour)
- the region that encompasses the wine country of Prince Edward County east to Kingston, Wolfe Island and the 1000 Islands area near Gananoque, Ontario (bike tour)
- the Banff to Jasper area of Alberta (bike tour)
- the Cumbrian Way through the Lake District of England (hiking tour)
- the West Highland Way in Scotland (hiking tour)
- a cross province tour of Prince Edward Island (bike tour)
- the Cabot Trail of Nova Scotia (bike tour)
- the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec (adventure travel)
Detailed guides from previous trips will soon be available on Palm Springs, the Okanagan area of BC, Costa Rica and the famous Chilkoot Trail in British Columbia and Alaska.
I always have trips simmering on the backburner so additional possibilities though not yet booked for 2010 include:
- an adventure tour with hiking and biking in the fabulous red rock country of Moab, Utah
- an adventurous exploration, primarily by bike, of either the southern Oregon coast or the Columbia Gorge area
- a mixed bag of exploration, hiking and biking between Charlston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia
- a Boulder, Colorado trip to research and reconfirm my thoughts on the best places for hiking and biking
The traveling and researching component of this venture is clearly enjoyable, though I have come to love the blogging. I take pride in the quality of the information available in the itineraries to date, appreciating that there is always room for improvement. In short order I hope to reconfigure the website to make the existing itineraries free with the hope that you will pass these along to everyone and anyone you know. So if you want a detailed itinerary in the next few weeks then please contact me and I’ll be quick with a response.
Also, I am always looking for travel ideas, tidbits, facts, favourite palces, restaurants or accommodation and trivia to share online so send those along too.
Thank you.
Leigh McAdam
