Photos of the Week: South Winchelsea Island, BC

South Winchelsea Island is but one of nineteen islands making up the Ballenas- Winchelsea Archipelago, just east of Vancouver Island. It can be reached via a twenty minute water taxi ride from Nanoose Bay. The Land Conservancy rents out a cabin on the island that sleeps up to 6 people for $220 per night in low season and $275 per night from April 1st to September 30th. It’s a great spot to walk, sea kayak, watch birds and seals or just relax.
