Travel Photo Thursday: Texas Sunsets
I was in Texas last week and two things were notable. First there was sun – an unusual occurrence in Vancouver since last November. And secondly, the sunsets were magnificent. Major fires in Texas are contributing to the dust level which I believe is making the sunsets more interesting. In western Texas the sun reportedly shines 350 days of the year. That’s a lot of sunsets.
Here are a few of my favourite Texas sunsets.

The sunset with more orange than I've ever seen

Hopefully the sunsets will bring back good memories for him.
@Muza-chan @Laurel @Jim I couldn’t get over the change in the colour of the sunsets – especially the first one over time – from pale yellow to deep burnt orange. It makes you thankful to be alive.
@Sensibletraveler @Debbie Thanks for compliments. I loved the thunderclouds & was hoping for a big storm – they need the rain but not the lightening in west Texas.
i love those colors, but the one with the wood fence is stunning. thanks for sharing!

All gorgeous! My favorite is the 2nd one with the fence in the foreground. A very Texas kind of mood to it.
@Jade @Jorie @Nancie @Michael @Cathy Thank you all for your lovely comments.
@Donny – You’ll get a real case of the chills with heat exhaustion. Fortunately you can choose to hike early in the morning or find a trail that offers enough shade to make hiking tolerable.
